History

Laurel Street Jewelers was started in 1987 by owner and principal, Cal Noecker. It began as a fine jewelry repair business serving the wholesale
fabricating needs of several retail jewelers in the San Francisco peninsula area. The business was expanded in 1992 to include retail sales and repair
when Cal purchased Hilton Jewelers of San Carlos, CA. The business moved to it's present location in San Carlos in 1996. The store was remodeled
to expand the showroom area in 2004. Laser welding capability was added the following year.

Cal is a second generation jeweler, having grown up in the jewelry industry at his father's jewelry store in Decorah, Iowa. He attended Gem City College
in Quincy, Illinois where he earned his certification as a watchmaker and jeweler. To date, Cal has more than 35 years experience as a bench jeweler
and in the retail jewelry industry. He has worked for more than 30 of those years in the San Francisco peninsula area.

Philosophy

Cal brings a friendly, "can do" mid-western work ethic to your fine jewelry shopping, creation, and repair experience. His goal is to provide his clients
with quality service, workmanship and products at reasonable prices. He wants you to be delighted!
