Laurel Street Jewelers was started in 1989 by Mr. Cal Noecker. It began as a fine jewelry repair business serving the wholesale fabricating needs of several retail jewelers in the San Francisco peninsula area. The business was expanded in 1992 to include retail sales and repair when Cal purchased Hilton Jewelers of San Carlos, CA. The business moved to it's present location in 1996.
Cal is a second generation jeweler, having grown up in and around his father's retail jewelry store in Decorah, Iowa. He attended Gem City College in Quincy, Illinois where he earned his certification as a watchmaker and jeweler. To date, Cal has more than 30 years experience as a bench jeweler and in the retail jewelry business. He has worked for more than 25 of those years in the San Francisco peninsula area.
Cal brings a friendly, "can do" mid-western work ethic to your fine jewelry shopping experience. We won't advertise the "lowest prices", or use other sales gimmicks. We just offer a quality product at an honest price.
